hemorrhoids productsPiles are also called hemorrhoids or hemroids, which is an inflammation of the veins found inside or outside the rectum. It is common in people of all ages, but women suffer from it most during pregnancy.

Piles is either external or internal where the external hemorrhoids can be seen and felt outside the anus and is associated with pain and itching. The internal hemorrhoids are found inside the anus where there is pain, bleeding and swelling. Sometimes, the veins may burst to start bleeding and this form of piles is called bleeding hemorrhoids.

Besides pain and itching around the anus, and bleeding when passing stools, some people may experience some mucus discharge and feeling of soreness after passing stools. There are various causes for the start of piles, including poor circulation, constipation, heavy lifting jobs, obesity, too much of spices and condiments, varicose veins and in women, pregnancy because of increased blood flow and the weight of the fetus on the abdomen.

Tablets and creams provide some hemroids relief

Treatment that is offered for piles or hemorrhoids generally provides temporary relief. There are tablets and hemorrhoids creams that can be taken and applied for relief from the pain and itching associated with piles. However it is better to work at preventing piles by performing what is known as a colon cleanse and following a high fiber diet with lots of fluids.

This is because the fiber in the diet helps keep bowel movements regular, while the fluid keeps bowels soft so that they pass easily, without straining and causing hemroids. Drinking 6-8 glasses of water is essential for a healthy diet, including fruit juices.

Even exercises involving abdominal muscles is important in improving the circulation in rectal region and helps relieve congestion. Even outdoor exercises like walking and swimming, and these tips are essential in controlling hemroids or piles.

Radish, bananas and turnip all help in controlling piles

Drinking buttermilk after meals is beneficial for people suffering from piles. After passing stools, apply an ice pack on the affected area for relief from itching and swelling. In addition to this, taking regular warm baths help relieve any irritation found in the anus region.

Try boiling a ripe banana in a cup of milk, and drinking this mixture twice or thrice a day. Grated white radish, with some honey proves to provide hemorrhoid relief. Or you could also try taking a teaspoon of lemon and mint leaf juice, with a tablespoon of honey thrice a day.

Try yoga for relief from piles

Eating some grated white radish, and eating this with honey provides some relief. Even the juice of turnip leaves, spinach, carrots and water cress drunk in equal amounts provides some relief from hemroids

Anal pain can be reduced by roasting and crushing a peeled onion, or making a thick paste of cumin seeds and water and then applying this on the affected area around the rectum.

In addition to all this, there are some yogasanas that are beneficial for piles like bhujangasana, Hal asana, dhanurasana, sarvangasana and gomukhasana.
